Shipping / Returns …
We do our best to ship your orders within 48 hours of payment clearing* Monday through Friday, but are currently short staffed and shipping times may be delayed 1-2 days. If you need your item/s expedited, please phone us and we will do our best to accommodate.
SHIPPING: All items are shipped either USPS or UPS; whichever is most-appropriate and cost-effective, and that helps to keep your prices low. (UPS can not ship to a PO Box. We typically use USPS for shipments outside the United States.)
CREDIT CARD PROCESSING TIME: When you place an order, your order status is “pending” (pending approval or denial). The credit card authorizing company and your credit card company work together, and when they have approved your credit-card transaction, they change the status of your order to “settled”. Once your order status is “settled” (approved), we pack and ship your order. This process between the authorizing company and your credit card company takes 1- to 2-days to be “settled” before we can pack and ship your order. If you need your part immediately, then please call us and order the part over the telephone.
TAX: No sales tax collected unless you are in California. We collect sales tax for sales to California addresses, unless you have a current, signed resale card on file with us.
MIKE’S Corvair Sales and Parts-Return Policy WARRANTIES:
NEW PARTS: Unless otherwise stated, new parts are warranted from manufacturer defects for 90 days from the original purchase date shown on the invoice. If you believe a part is defective, then please call us so that we can determine the best course of action to resolve the situation. Warranty is limited to the actual defective item listed on the invoice. Any warranty claim must be accompanied by the original invoice, and is valid only to the original purchaser. Warranties are NOT transferable.
NOS (New, Old Stock) parts have NO warranty.
USED parts are sold on an AS-IS final sale basis: There are no refunds or exchanges, and used parts do not have a warranty. In many cases, it is not possible to test a used part to make sure it works properly. Make sure you ask any questions before ordering if not sure about what you need.
LIMITED WARRANTY: MIKE’S Corvair Parts will not be responsible for any damage or loss caused by delays, failures or other consequential damage, nor for labor, transportation or any other charges incurred in the replacement or repair of a defective item. RETURN POLICY: Unless otherwise stated, new parts may be returned at buyer’s expense for a refund or store credit within 30 calendar days of the original purchase date shown on the invoice. Returns must be in “like new” condition, include all original documentation, packaging, and be in re-sellable condition. There will be a 15% re-stocking fee on any parts returned within 30 calendar days of shipment (unless our error).
NO RETURNS AFTER 30 CALENDAR DAYS. All returns must be received with a copy of the original invoice. THERE ARE NO RETURNS ON USED PARTS. Items between 30- and 60 days MAY, at the sole discretion of MIKE’S Corvair Parts –call first before returning–, be returnable subject to a 40% re-stocking fee. NO REFUNDS WILL BE CREDITED UNTIL RETURNED ITEM IS RECEIVED, INSPECTED, and ACCEPTED by Mike’s Corvair Parts.
NON-RETURN ITEMS: No returns on electrical products, books, manuals, or used parts. There are no returns due to wrong color choice caused by the customer, or on custom orders. Upholstery, door panels, and special orders are not returnable.
WRONG PARTS: If you ordered the wrong part, then it will be treated as a normal “return” (See “RETURN POLICY”.). If the error was caused by Mike’s Corvair Parts (and we do apologize if that was the case), then Mike’s Corvair Parts will refund or credit for the shipping and handling amount originally charged by Mike’s Corvair Parts, plus any amount charged for insurance by LS Corvair Parts.
CORE RETURNS: All cores returned are subject to my inspection so I can make sure your core is in REBUILDABLE CONDITION. After purchase of items for which we have charged a core charge, cores must be received within 60 calendar days of that shipment date, WITH a copy of the original receipt. NOTE: You MUST include a copy of the original receipt with the core charge on it. SPECIAL ORDERS: All upholstery, door panels, and special orders require a 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit. Upholstery, door panels, and special orders are NOT returnable.
